Introducing the 2025 Kia Tasman Pickup Truck

The Quirky and Capable Kia Tasman

Kia's first-ever pickup truck is set to take on competitors like the Ford Ranger and Toyota Hilux. Although it won't be available in North America, the Tasman will be sold in South Korea, Australia, the Middle East, and Africa.

A Quirky Design That Stands Out

The Tasman boasts a distinctive appearance with its quirky styling elements. From the mustache-like body cladding to the vertical headlights pushed to the sides, this truck is sure to turn heads. Its unconventional front fascia, complete with an oversized Kia logo and muscular hood, adds to its unique charm.

A Tough and Capable Workhorse

Don't let its unconventional design fool you - the Tasman is a rugged body-on-frame truck. It offers single- and double-cab body styles, as well as a stripped-down chassis cab for customization. With a double-wishbone front suspension, a rigid rear axle with leaf springs, and all-terrain tires, it's ready to tackle any terrain.

A Comfortable and Tech-Savvy Interior

Step inside the Tasman, and you'll find a car-like interior with a triple-screen layout. The 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, 5-inch display, and 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system provide a modern and user-friendly experience. Despite its high-tech features, the Tasman still retains traditional switchgear for easy access to essential functions.

Powerful Engine Options

Depending on the market, the Tasman comes with gasoline and diesel engine options. In Korea, it's equipped with a 2.5-liter gasoline engine producing 277 horsepower. In Australia, a 2.2-liter turbodiesel engine is available. Both options offer impressive towing and payload capacities.

Coming to Global Markets

The Tasman is set to launch in Korea in the first half of 2025, followed by its availability in Australia, Africa, and the Middle East. Kia plans to introduce an electric version of the Tasman by 2027. While it's not confirmed for the US market yet, a fully electric variant may be offered in other regions. Stay tuned for more updates on Kia's upcoming pickups.
