Mercedes says goodbye to station wagons by 2030
As it became known the day before, the CLA Shooting Brake will leave the Mercedes model lineup in three years.
The last wagon will be the E-Class as a station wagon.
After that, the German company will gradually start to end the production of station wagons, presumably before 2030.
Mercedes wants to optimize its offerings to bring in more investment that will follow on electric cars. Right now, the company is more focused on developing all-new platforms. Mercedes is also working on alternatives that will be more practical, such as creating a high-slung sedan SUV.
