Mercedes-Benz EQV passed frost tests successfully

Mercedes-Benz EQV, with an electrical installation, went to the test site in Sweden, which is located closer to the Arctic Circle.

Here, the novelty was tested at shallow temperatures to find out how the car can cope with frost.

Mercedes-Benz is positioning the EQV as the world's first premium electric minivan. The car will begin its sales in mid-2020. The vehicle is based on the V-Class, having a 204-horsepower electric unit that takes energy from the battery per 100 kilowatt-hours. One charge allows the electric van to overcome 400 km at a maximum speed of 160 km/h.

On tests in Sweden, experts checked the effects of cold on the functioning of the power plant of an electric car and not only.

Most likely, the price of a short-base EQV in Europe will be 70,000 euros.
