Audi A3 new generation officially debuted

Audi declassified the new-generation A3 Sedan.

The car will appear on the shelves at the end of 2020 — the sedan created on the MQB architecture, which was previously used in the new Golf.

The luggage compartment volume remained at 425 liters. The drag coefficient dropped to 0.25. The sedan has narrow lights, a new radiator with a honeycomb pattern, a relief hood, as well as large air intakes.

To increase the supply of space above the head of the driver's seat in front, the developers installed below. The basic sedan version has a 10.1-inch screen, which is built into the front panel. The novelty also has a digital "tidy" and multimedia 3rd generation MMI Navigation Plus.

The engine range includes a 1.5-liter TFSI engine with a gasoline power of 150 hp. The unit operates with a 7-speed S Tronic "robot" or with a 6-speed manual gearbox. This engine is also able to work according to the mild-hybrid scheme: ICE got a starter-generator, which takes energy from a 48-volt onboard power supply.

The A3 will also be on sale with a 2.0-liter diesel engine with a capacity of 150 horsepower. In a couple, it goes seven-step "robot" S Tronic. The diesel version has a starter generator.

After the start of sales, the new generation A3 Sedan will receive more engines. A 1.0-liter gasoline 110-horsepower engine and a 115-horsepower diesel should appear. A full hybrid performance will follow this.
