New Mercedes-Benz GLS officially introduce

The premiere of a new generation of Mercedes-Benz GLS was held at the New York Auto Show.

The new GLS made on a common base with GLE. The car now has a four-wheel drive transmission with a rear axle coupling. The option is downshifting, not permanent all-wheel drive.

The profile of a novelty resembles the previous generation, and the front body part looks like an X-class pickup. Car length increased by 77 mm, to 5207 mm.

Inside, the same front panel as the last performance. The 3rd row of seats comes immediately from the basic version, and the 2nd row is present in 2 versions.

Mercedes-Benz GLS will be driven by inline 6-cylinder turbo engines: a 3.0-liter 367-horsepower petrol unit and a 2.9-liter diesel with 286 or 330 hp will appear.

The flagship Mercedes-Benz GLS 580 prepares a 4.0-liter turbocharged petrol V8 with 489 horsepower. Each engine operates with the automatic gearbox on 9 steps.

New Mercedes-Benz GLS will be on sale at the end of 2019.
