Kia Seltos reborn into an electric car

Kia started work on the Seltos SUV electric variant.

The prototype is already ready. However, the model will fall into the series at the end of next year. The production of new items will be engaged in the company's enterprise in South Korea.

IndianAutosBlog writes that Kia Seltos on electricity will get a power plant from Hyundai Kona Electric: it's a 136 hp electric motor and 395 Nm paired with a traction battery of 39.2 kilowatt-hours. The car has a power reserve of 452 kilometers.

In other countries, Kona Electric is supplemented with an older version with a 204-horsepower electric unit and a 64-kilowatt-hour battery. "Hundred" is typed by a similar cross in 7.6 seconds, driving without recharging a maximum of 482 km (WLTP driving cycle).

The initial circulation of the electric Kia Seltos will be about ten thousand cars.
