The appearance of the German company's flagship SUV is expected for 2019.
Most likely, the second generation Mercedes-Benz GLS will get a little longer than his predecessor. A fresh photos of the test prototype near the Nurburgring demonstrates that the car yet is not ready for serial production.
Absolutely new full-size off-road car, in theory, will appear in 2019. Technically, the future novelty is completely classified. With the change of generations, GLS will choose a brand new platform and remove a couple of hundred kilograms, plus take for himselfs more spacious interior is expected.

Mercedes-AMG Develops Next C63 With Both Gasoline and Electric Powertrains
Mercedes-Benz CTO Jörg Burzer confirmed that Affalterbach is developing both internal combustion and battery-electric powertrains for future 63-badged models as the four-cylinder plug-in hybrid C63 exits production. In the meantime, an interim C53 featuring a 443-hp 3.0-liter inline-six engine is expected to take its place.

Replacing the four-cylinder GLC43 and GLC63 models, the 2027 Mercedes-AMG GLC53 4Matic+ pairs a 443-hp 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six with all-wheel drive and rear-axle steering. In instrumented testing, the SUV hit 60 mph in 4.1 seconds and outperformed the BMW X3 M50 xDrive and Audi SQ5 on the figure-eight course and in braking.
