Mercedes no longer needs her cult engine
Mercedes-AMG has planned a cardinal move - put aside the bi-turbo 6.0-liter V12 with 621 horsepower and 1,000 Nm.
Tobias Moers, CEO of the Mercedes-AMG, said about it in Paris.
This spring, Moers said that the V12 engines do not have a future because they do not correspond to the eco-form of today with their fuel consumption. On the eve of this information has received official confirmation.
Because of this, the Mercedes-AMG may end up with the release of the Mercedes-AMG S65, which is now one of the most powerful AMG cars.
An outdated engine can replace a new, high-powered 4.0-liter hybrid V8 twin-turbo motor. We add that this power unit will be present in the new AMG machines.
