Kia Showed This Year's Optima Sportswagon

The revised Optima fro Kia has been shown on the old continent. The automaker displayed the facelifted Sportwagon version and details about the new powerplant.

From the exterior the unit reminds of the “K5” sedan available in Korea. Meanwhile the European variant will have new turbocharged motors (a petrol one and a diesel one).

The petrol unit will have 1.6 litters and will be a T-GDi V4. It will produce 132 kW and will be FWD. The power will be transmitted through a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox.

The diesel motor will be a 1.6-litre CRDi V4 U3. According to the automaker, it will produce 100 kW. It should be cleaner than the previous model thankfully to SCR tech. Selective Catalytic Reduction lessened CO2, NOx and particulate emissions.
