Expect To See An Innovated High-End SUV From Maybach

The next-gen Mercedes-Benz GLS will give birth to an ultra-luxurious Maybach version.

It was reported that a concept variant will be presented next month at the motor show held in Beijing. The production variant will be heavily inspired by the concept and will be marketed next year.

The reports say that the unit will rival with other high-end utilities, such as the SV Autobiography from Range Rover, Bentayga from Bentley and the new Cullinan from Rolls-Royce.

The vehicle under consideration will be equipped with the company’s latest Modular high Architecture platform. Actually, it is an improved variant of the MRA platform that equips a number of RWD-based offerings. There will be certain exterior design tweaks that will make the Maybach stand out, for example, the grille. Expect to see plenty of semi-autonomous driving features.

The car will ride with the 4.0-litre twin-turbo eight-cylinder engine producing more than 500 hp.
