Aston Martin Wants An EV Partner From China

Aston Martin wants to lend its knowledge on lightweight materials and aerodynamics to a Chinese producer.

Aston Martin is famous for its gorgeous sports vehicles. In 2017 the producer from Great Britain experienced a sales growth by 58% to 5,117 units. This was the producer’s highest volume in the last 9 years. Now the company wants more electrification. It wants EVs to account for 25% of the sales by 2030. The other units in the range should be hybrids.

Now the producer is discussing everything with various companies in China. It wants to establish a joint venture in China to help enter the largest market for electric cars in the world. The purpose is to share its knowledge on lightweight materials and aerodynamic techs to improve performance of electric cars.
