Ringbrothers Unveils Their Premier Aston Martin DBS Restomod

Celebrated for elevating classic muscle cars to extraordinary levels, Ringbrothers has once again made headlines. Their impressive lineup includes the elegant Buick Grand National and the striking Mercury Cougar. This Monterey Car Week, they've expanded their expertise beyond American muscle, presenting a remarkable British model.

The 1971 Aston Martin DBS 'Octavia' emerges as one of Ringbrothers' most exceptional restomods to date. This DBS is significantly transformed from its original design. In collaboration with designer Gary Ragle, Ringbrothers developed custom body modifications that lengthened the wheelbase by 3.0 inches, widened the track by 8.0 inches, and increased the rear width by an additional 10.0 inches.

Enhanced Performance Features

Underneath its aggressive exterior lies a Roadster Shop Fast Track Stage III chassis equipped with fully independent rear suspension. The vehicle features RS SV by Fox Racing fixed-valve coilovers on all four corners, paired with HRE wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, and boasts sizable 14-inch Brembo brakes.

Powertrain and Engine Upgrades

The core of the DBS 'Octavia' is a robust 5.0-liter Coyote V-8 engine, expertly built by Wegner Motorsports and enhanced with a custom 2.65-liter Harrop supercharger. This setup delivers an impressive 805 horsepower, a significant increase from the original Aston Martin’s 5.3-liter V-8 engine, which produced only 320 hp. Power is transmitted through a six-speed manual transaxle.

Design and Craftsmanship

Partnering with Gemini Technology Systems, the bespoke carbon-fiber bodywork required 3,900 hours of CAD design and an additional 8,200 hours of hands-on development. The vehicle is finished in a Double-0 Silver paint with accents of Nuclear Olive Green.

The interior showcases a luxurious combination of caramel-colored leather, carbon fiber trim, 3D-printed stainless steel details, and numerous 'Octavia' badges throughout the cabin.

"The complexity involved in engineering this car is immense. It pushed us to innovate beyond our usual boundaries and create a moving mechanical masterpiece," said Mike Ring, co-owner of Ringbrothers. "We've blended the power of American muscle with the refined elegance of British engineering. 'OCTAVIA' surpasses anything we've previously built and celebrates the spirit of hot rodding, revealed on Monterey's most prestigious stage."

Ringbrothers has not disclosed the pricing for this exquisite British model, but the level of detail and craftsmanship suggests it is a premium offering.
