A new generation of Mercedes-Benz SL preparing for 2020

Mercedes-Benz is developing the eighth generation of the SL, and its full-fledged debut will occur in 2020.

Autocar informs you that the Germans will manufacture the car in Sindelfingen.

The new SL with AMG GT supercar will get the same new lightweight architecture. Our hero will add in size, after which he will turn into a luxurious open car with the landing formula "2 + 2". Another new farewell to a hard folding top, getting a more traditional soft top.

Unofficial information states that several hybrid variations will appear in the car. The power of this car will reach 400-600 horsepower. Another new generation SL will have a 9-step “automatic” and a semi-autonomous drive function.
