Testing Of This Year's Stinger GT From Kia In Sydney
This year’s Stinger from Kia has been caught in Glebe.
The unit is a hot commodity with CarAdvice getting several e-mails a week with sightings of the 2 development cars that are now in Australia. Kia is aiming at Commodore sales.
The GT version that has been captured boasts large Brembo brakes and a 3.3-litre turbocharged 6-cylinder unit producing 272kW and torque of 510 Nm. The motor is joined to an 8-speed automatic transmission and paddle-shifters are located on the helm.
The car should accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 5.1 seconds. Its top speed stands at 280 km/h. The Stinger’s body is 160 mm shorter that the Commodore, however the wheelbase is practically identical along with the width.
