Expect Autonomous Car For Different Wants And Needs From Audi
Audi launched its level 3, 4 and 5 autonomous production and concept cars at this year’s motor show held in Frankfurt. Now Audi states that it will offer a range of autonomous cars suiting alternative use cases.
Will an autonomous car be also sporty? Peter Mertens told that autonomy is available in different sizes and shapes.
The main question is in sportiness and autonomy. Are they able to co-exist? Mertens says, that sportiness will become a different dimension in future. Level 5 features no helm and no pedals.
The concept of different vehicles for different aims is not completely new. However, this is the 1st admission from a producer that its levels of autonomy could differ between cars to cater for use cases.
