400,000 Transit Vans From Ford Are Being Recalled In North America

402,462 Ford Transit vans fell under the recall in North America. The issue is connected with possibility of the drive shaft coupling crack.

Reports suggest that Transits that have racked up mileage could suffer the issue. It can lead to such faults as loss of power or rolling of the car while being parked without the handbrake engagement.

The recall touched 2015-2017 model-year units that have run more than 30,000 miles. According to the automaker, the issue has to deal with extended, long and medium wheelbase vans and cab chassis offerings with medium wheelbases.

For now the units that have not run the aforementioned number of miles are not being considered.
