2018 Opel Astra GSi Spotted With Minimal Camouflage

The company Opel has already placed the GSi nameplate on the sides of the sedan and the Insignia station wagon of the latest generation and now the automaker intends to release a "heated" version for the Astra model.

Trials of the novelty have already begun, as evidenced by spy photos, placed on the pages of Motor1. The car in a barely noticeable camouflage got bright red accents on the bumpers, in the rear of the hatchback there were two exhaust pipes, as it should be in the GSi version. It should be noted that the test hatchback still uses small steel wheels, but the serial version of the Astra GSi will definitely be offered with 18-inch alloy wheels.

Most likely, under the hood of the Opel Astra GSi will be turbocharged 1.6-liter engine capacity of more than 200 hp, it is also possible that for the hatchback will offer a new 2.0-liter unit developing 210 hp.

Presumably, the world premiere of the Opel Astra GSi will take place in March 2018 at the Geneva Motor Show.
