Pre-Tax Loss of Aston Martin is $172M in 2015

2015 has not proven to be the best Aston Martin’s year.

The Gaydon-based company posted a pre-tax loss of $172 million. The loss registered in the previous year was almost twice smaller ($96,2M). The 2015 Aston Martin produced 3,615 vehicles. That’s a slight decrease in comparison with 2014 (3,661 units). As to 2016, the company says it will match the last year’s number of sold vehicles.

The automaker is sure that the latest DB11 will lead them to a 20% increase in main earnings at the end of this year. The awaited DB9 replacement will be launched soon. Almost 500 people placed their orders for the vehicle at VIP preview events. This happened before the vehicle was revealed. When official images appeared, there were 500 pre-ordered vehicles more and 400 extra were placed. This happened at the Motor Show in Geneva this March.

The famous producer is also preparing its 1st crossover. This one will be launched in 2020. The model will be built in a Wales plant. It is supposed to raise the automaker’s incomes. The ready for production DBX will feature novelty as it’s the company’s 1st stab in the segment. The manufacturer believes it will be able to lure in more female customers.
