Paparazzi spied the 2017 Opel Meriva

The 2017 Meriva from Opel has been captured on video.

The redesigned offering does not remind the previous model at all. The new Meriva received crossover-inspired design. The automaker hopes that it will help to increase sales. It is obvious that the car will get a famous radiator enclosure, an upright front fascia and sweptback headlamps. Going further back you will find door-mounted mirrors, conventional rear doors and a gently sloping roofline. The vehicle boasts a large tailgate with an integrated spoiler as well.

It was impossible to the paparazzi to get closer in order to receive a good view of the cabin. Though, we can see that the offering is larger than the previous one. Therefore, the clients will receive a more accommodating cabin and a bigger luggage compartment.

We remind you that the model under consideration was created during an ill-fated collaboration with PSA Peugeot-Citroen. This means that it will be equipped with the EMP2 platform underpinning the Peugeot 308 and the Citroen C4 Picasso / Grand C4 Picasso.

As to the possible engine options, expect them to be provided by PSA. There will be a 1.2-litre V3 unit generating 128 hp (or 95 kW) and a 1.6-litre V4 producing 162 hp (or 121 kW). Besides, expect a whole bunch of diesel units. Their output will range starting from 118 hp (or 88 kW) to 177 hp (or 132 kW).
