New Pictures of Honda Civic Type R and Details about it
Honda has revealed new information about the production Civic Type R. It has also shown new images of the vehicle revealed in March.
The vehicle was described as a really extreme Type R with high-performance which has been ever created. Expect the model to be launched for sale on the continent starting from July of 2015. The offering will be available in two trim levels. Clients will have a chance to opt between five various exterior paints. There will be Polished Metal, Brilliant Sporty Blue, Championship White, Milano Red and Crystal Black colours.
As it was told earlier, power will come from a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine which is able to generate 310 hp (or 228 kW) and torque of 400 Nm (or 295 lb-ft) between 2,500 and 4,500 rpm. The engine can be characterized with a new turbocharger which incorporates the automaker’s VTC (Dual-Variable Timing Control) and VTEC (Variable Timing and Lift Electronic Control) systems.
The powertrain is joined to a six-speed manual transmission that gives the car an opportunity to make a 0-62 mph (or 100 km/h) sprint in only 5.7 seconds. The vehicle’s top speed is 167 mph (or 270 km/h).
The model under consideration will boast a specially created Four-Wheel Adaptive Damper System. Moreover, the Civic Type R will be equipped with an Advanced Dual Axis Strut Front Suspension system which is expected to enhance steering feel, on-the-limit cornering and high speed stability. There will be a revised rear suspension, 350-mm drilled discs at the front axle, high performance Brembo set with four-piston callipers and a returned steering control system among other features of the sports car.
