Lotus CEO plans to Show Profit in two Years

Lotus is going to come back in the black in two years.

Jean-Marc Gales, Lotus CEO, assures that the British producer will be profitable in two years despite the long period of losing money. Being at the company’s helm, Gales has implemented measures to lower prices and improve the offerings. The sales will increase soon thankfully to the changes of the producer’s current three-car range. Lotus is not going to launch any new vehicles before its crossover will be presented in 2018 or 2019. The crossover will be developed at a new plant in China.

Moreover, the automaker can’t wait to come back to America with their revamped Evora 400. This model was presented at 2015 Motor Show in Geneva. Lotus restyled the sports vehicle so that it could meet American regulations. Gales thinks that The U.S. market will become the largest one for the Evora.

After Gales started ruling the company, there also were other changes. He switched suppliers to cut costs. 260 jobs were cut at the automaker’s headquarters. Gales does not think that the engineering part will increase in 3 or 4 years. As a result, he scaled back the producer’s engineering. The Lotus CEO is going to increase the company’s dealerships to 200 till the end of 2015. Towards the end of March we counted that there were only 174 of them.
