Details about the Pricing for 2016 Subaru WRX

Subaru has shared pricing and details about two of the 2016 WRX offerings.

2016 Subaru WRX will cost starting from $27,390 with destination. In comparison with outgoing offering, it is $300 more expensive. The WRX STI increased by $200 now. Therefore, its price is $35,490 with destination. The top-trim WRX Limited offering will cost $32,390. Meanwhile, the biggest price for the WRX STI can be even $40,790.

The 2016 WRX will benefit from Subaru’s EyeSight safety system. It provides pre-collision braking, lane keep assist, lane departure warning and adaptive cruise control. The safety suit is available only on the WRX Limited version with a CVT. Considering safety tech on the WRX STI, the top-end Limited-trim will be regular with rear cross traffic alert and blind spot detection.

All WRX trims will boast upgraded infotainment systems. The original WRX is having a 6.2-inch display using Starlink system from Subaru. Its regular features are: a CD player, a USB-port, Bluetooth, backup camera and satellite radio. Meanwhile, a $2,100 package includes the upgraded 7-inch Starlink system. It provides dual USB ports, multi-gestures, iTunes tagging ability, and even SMS messaging. Moreover, it includes an upgraded premium audio system with 9 speakers. Obtaining the stereo system package on the WRX STI means a push button start and keyless access. All these things are available for $2,600.

There also is one visual change. A low-profile trunk spoiler is available for free on the WRX STI Limited.

The most important parts of both vehicles remain the same. The STI is receiving 305 hp from the 2.5-litre turbocharged V4 engine. The WRX is still equipped with the 2.0-litre turbocharged boxer engine generating 268 hp. The first offering can be obtained only with manual gear box while the second one is available with either a 6-speed manual gear box or with a CVT.
