550 HP for Mercedes-Benz E500 facelifted by VATH

The facelifted E500 from Mercedes-Benz has been the item of an aftermarket upgrade courtesy of VATH.

They were working on the rear-wheel drive variant and bumped the output of the 4.7-litre eight-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine from the series 408 hp (or 300 kW) and torque of 600 Nm (443 lb-ft) to 550 hp (or 404 kW) and generous torque of 830 Nm (or 613 lb-ft). The additional power can be obtained for €10,591. It gives the mid-size sedan an opportunity to reach 186 mph (or 300 km/h).

Having more money, it is possible to buy a €4,629 non-corrosive steel exhaust system. It has quad oval pipes. At the same time, a carbon rear diffuser along with fins and platform are priced at €2,011. Custom dumpers’ price stands at €1,166. Moreover, the customers can opt for custom brakes having 390 discs and six-piston sliding member on the front axle. This option costs €5,355.

VATH’s 20-inch forged wheels ride the vehicle. They are wrapped around in 225/30 R20 tyres at the front and 295/25 R20 tyres at the rear. Finally, the designer equipped the car with a carbon trunk spoiler lip. It can be obtained for only €1,761.

Pictures of the interior have not been released yet. The tuner assures that there will be aluminium pedals, carbon fibber trim, a sportier helm and Alcantara headlining.
