2015 Kia Sedona scores 5 Stars from NHTSA Safety Rating
The innovated 2015 Kia Sedona has received the highest safety rating from NHTSA.
The Korean company’s minivan has got 5 stars in the side-impact, front-impact and pole tests. It also earned 4 stars in the rollover test. The IIHS (Insurance Institute for Highway Safety) named the model a Top Safety Pick.
The vehicle is equipped with a 3.3-litre six-cylinder engine producing 276 hp and torque of 248 lb-ft. The model was updated with an innovated chassis using 76% more AHSS (Advanced High Strength Steel). It adds to the overall durability and rigidity of the body. The automaker says that the 2015 Sedona’s chassis static torsional stiffness was enhanced by 36% in comparison with its first competitor.
