Audi TT Might Consider Crossover for 2015

In addition to the world debut of Audi TT of the next generation in Geneva the brand might also offer to take a look at future TT vehicles.

Chief engineer of the company made a hint that it was possible for the next TT cars to feature another body form apart from the announced ones. One of the variants is the production of Shooting Brake crossover. He admitted that compact cars of this type were the trendiest nowadays, which is why the idea of making a TT crossover does not sound bad at all.

Apart from that, chief engineer made an announcement that the company considers producing a superlight TT, just under 2,200 lbs. Implementation of MQB architecture recently made by the brand will become the crucial element for the production of such a vehicle due to wide capabilities of carbon fibre as a body component.

One thing among the many announcements looks crystal-clear: Audi will closely examine the sales performance of the new TT to make the final decision about continuation of the lineup.
