AMG Vision Gran Turismo Racing Series from Mercedes-Benz Announced

AMG Vision Gran Turismo Racing Series has been presented by Mercedes.

The prototype of the Racing Series is AMG Vision Gran Turismo. The new modification was created with the purpose of adding a racing scene to the model. A wing fixed on the rear bumper is meant to add downforce during a high-speed ride. CCD cameras inherent to Gran Turismo were changed for usual mirrors.

The car is equipped with a twin-turbo engine for eight cylinders and 5.5 litres providing 591 hp. Dual clutch gearbox has seven speeds. The drivers have to be ready for reduced comfort of a ride because such a transmission choice is based on boosted performance purposes.

The only specifics known apart from that is the weight of the car - 2,866 lbs. The race model is almost 200 lbs lighter than the standard vehicle.

AMG Vision Gran Turismo Racing Series enriched the Gran Turismo 6 lineup and is listed among the contestants of the next race.
