Mercedes AMG Unleashes the Vision Gran Turismo Concept

Mercedes-AMG has uncovered its furious Vision Gran Turismo concept that will make its public debut at the 2013 L.A. Auto Show.

Extremely wide ultra-car was constructed specifically for the approaching Gran Turismo 6 video game. Enhanced by an AMG biturbo V8, the Vision Gran Turismo has a tremendous 578 hp and 591 lb-ft of torque and weighs just 3,053 pounds. It was revealed to mark the opening of the brand-new Mercedes-Benz Research & Development Center in Sunnyvale, Calif.

To mark the 15th anniversary of the famous Gran Turismo series this year, its producer Kazunori Yamauchi asked different automakers to use futuristic concept vehicles in the game. Notably, the entry from Mercedes-AMG not only sports an extremely aggressive exterior style, but the interior has been inspired by a Formula 1 race model’s cockpit with red integral sports seats blending into the black flooring of the footwell to create a protective shell.
