Lexus RC F will Provide 455-HP, Pricing $100,000

The brand-new Lexus RC coupe is going to be uncovered at the 2013 Tokyo Auto Show, and it’s being informed that the RC F will be enhanced by a 5.0-liter V8 motor with 455 horsepower.

The Lexus RC is going to be the Japanese company’s main competitor to the BMW 4 Series, and the RC F will fight head-on with the brand-new M4 (but not on price), if these figures turn out to be true.

Inspired by the LFA, the RC F will be constructed to handle like a true sports vehicle, will have an 8-speed transmission and will be equipped with plenty of carbon fiber parts.

As for pricing, the RC will start at about $40,000 late next year, while the RC F will be priced over $100,000. There’s no chance that the fresh BMW M4 will even come close to that price range, so clearly Lexus is targeting a more exceptional crowd with its RC F model.

Details being provided by Motor Trend feature Sachs monotube shock absorbers, special control-arm rear suspension, upgraded coil springs and stabilizers, specially refreshed Lexus Dynamic Handling System, 19-inch BBS wheels and Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 tires will all be found on the RC F vehicle.

Regarding the regular RC version, future customers will be glad to hear that it will likely feature a turbocharged 2.0-liter motor, a 2.5-liter hybrid version, and a 3.5-liter V6 motor choice.

The RC F is going to make its North American debut at the 2014 Detroit Motor Show, with the rest of the RC lineup coming in April at the New York Motor Show.
