GM Head Prefers Opel Cascada, Adam Vehicles Added to Buick Family

At an investor’s meating at General Motors‘ Detroit proving grounds current month, Head Dan Akerson announced his desire to join the Opel Adam and Cascada to the Buick vehicle family.

When we noticed the Opel Cascada before this year at the 2013 Geneva Auto Show, we thought it was actually a Buick Regal convertible, considering the 2-door, 4-seater is constructed on the same platform as the Buick Verano. The Opel Adam, which appeared in European showrooms earlier this year, is a Fiat 500 competitor and has gained admiration in Europe.

Akerson hopes both models should have been manufactured for the American market and regrets that the U.S. brand didn’t. But that doesn’t mean that both cars are still possibilities for the Buick automaker. Previous month, GM North American Chief Mark Reuss informed that Buick is working on something extraordinary, so maybe an overseas Opel vehicle being amalgamated for US is becoming a reality.
