Land Rover Defender Electric Overhaul Pushed to the 2030s

Jaguar Land Rover is adjusting its electrification strategy, delaying the full-size Defender EV while prioritizing a compact baby Defender alongside the Range Rover Electric lineup. The rugged SUV will continue utilizing traditional combustion and hybrid powertrains before transitioning to dedicated electric architecture. In the meantime, modular MLA and EMA platforms will underpin the brand's near-term luxury off-roaders.
