Honda to Build a Body-on-Frame Pickup Based on the Mitsubishi Triton

Honda is teaming up with Mitsubishi to add a rugged, body-on-frame pickup truck to its lineup using the one-ton Triton ladder-frame platform. The donor truck features a 2.4-liter twin-turbo diesel engine producing up to 201 hp and 470 Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed automatic transmission and the Super Select 4WD-II system. Built for tough terrain and heavy workloads, the platform supports a locking rear differential, seven drive modes, and a 3.5-ton towing capacity.
