The electrified Starlight S crossover hit the market in 2024, combining the versatile Tianyu D modular platform with a stylish compact SUV body style.
Debuting in mid-2024, the Starlight S is the inaugural SUV model constructed on SGMW's modular Tianyu D vehicle platform. The five-door crossover exterior displays a modern design language characterized by split LED headlights, an aerodynamic roofline, and flush door handles. Customers can select between a Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) variant combining a 1.5-liter engine with a 204-horsepower electric motor, and a pure Battery Electric (BEV) model featuring an identical 204-hp electric drive motor. Power is delivered exclusively to the front wheels using an advanced Dedicated Hybrid Transmission or a single-speed electric reduction gear. The BEV offers a CLTC driving range of up to 510 kilometers, while the PHEV model achieves a total range over 1,100 kilometers. Inside, the refined five-seat interior comes equipped with a massive 15.6-inch infotainment central touchscreen, a 540-degree panoramic camera system, wireless smartphone charging, and Level 2 driver assistance systems. Production is based in China.
