Wuling Rongguang I gallery (2008–present)

The Wuling Rongguang commercial vehicle family has been produced by SAIC-GM-Wuling since 2008, standing as one of China best-selling utility vehicle lines. Constructed on a heavy-duty rear-wheel-drive ladder chassis with a solid rear axle and leaf spring suspension, the vehicle is engineered for payload capacities ranging from 0.7 to 3.5 tons. Body variants include a five-door passenger microvan accommodating five to eight occupants, a cargo panel van, an extended-wheelbase Rongguang S, and two-door or four-door pickup trucks named Rongguang Xiaoka and Xinka. Gasoline power comes from 1.2-liter (82 hp) and 1.5-liter (107 hp) naturally aspirated four-cylinder engines paired with a five-speed manual transmission. In 2020, SGMW introduced the Rongguang EV, equipped with a 60 kW electric motor and a 42 kWh LFP battery supplying a driving range of up to 300 km. The utilitarian interior utilizes durable wipe-clean materials, manual air conditioning, power steering, USB audio system, and folding rear seats to maximize cargo carrying capability for small businesses and logistics operators.
