Volvo 1800 I (1800) gallery (1961–1973)

First generation of the Volvo 1800 sports series (1800S/1800E/1800ES) produced from 1961 to 1973.

The Volvo 1800 series (encompassing 1800S, 1800E, and 1800ES trims) was produced from 1961 to 1973. Following the transition of assembly from Jensen in the UK to Volvo's Lundby plant in Sweden, the 'S' suffix (signifying Sweden) was adopted. It was manufactured as a 2-door coupe and a 3-door shooting brake estate (1800 ES).

Engines featured exceptionally durable 1.8-liter B18 and 2.0-liter B20 four-cylinders, upgraded with Bosch D-Jetronic electronic fuel injection for the E and ES variants. The model remains a landmark in Scandinavian industrial design.
