Volkswagen Suran I (Typ 5Z) gallery (2006–2019)

The Volkswagen Suran (marketed in Brazil as SpaceFox and Mexico as Fox Wagon, internal code Typ 5Z) launched in 2006 and was manufactured at the General Pacheco plant in Argentina until January 2019. Developed on the Fox platform (PQ24), it featured a rear overhang extended by 360 mm (overall length 4,180 mm). Its tall roofline yielded a versatile mini MPV wagon with luggage space expanding from 440 to 1,580 liters.

Engines included 1.6-liter 8V (101 hp) and 16V (110 hp) petrol engines alongside a 1.9-liter SDI diesel. Transmissions comprised 5- and 6-speed manuals or the I-Motion automated manual. Facelifts in 2010 and 2014 updated styling to align with contemporary VW models, and a rugged SpaceCross variant was also offered before production ended in 2019.
