The Volkswagen Fox was an entry-level compact hatchback developed in Brazil for Latin American and European markets.
The Volkswagen Fox (Typ 5Z) was engineered by Volkswagen Brazil and launched in 2003, replacing the Lupo in Europe in 2005. Built on PQ24 subcompact architecture, its high-roof hatchback body provided spacious headroom and sliding rear seats at an economical price point.
European specs carried 1.2 and 1.4-liter petrol engines and a 1.4 TDI diesel, while Latin American models utilized 1.0/1.6 Flex-Fuel engines running on gasoline or ethanol through 2021.
