VAZ Lada Priora I (ВАЗ-2170) gallery (2007–2018)
A compact family car lineup developed as a deep redesign of the VAZ-2110 series.
Lada Priora was built on a deeply modernized platform of the VAZ-2110 and remained in mass production from 2007 until 2018. The lineup included a four-door sedan (VAZ-2170), five-door hatchback (VAZ-2172), station wagon (VAZ-2171), and a low-volume three-door hatchback sold as a coupe (VAZ-21728). Compared to its predecessor, Priora received over 950 redesigned parts, significantly increasing body rigidity and passive safety while offering modern interior architecture, front airbags, electric power steering, and air conditioning. Powertrains consisted of 1.6-liter naturally aspirated 8-valve and 16-valve gasoline engines (such as VAZ-21116, VAZ-21126, and VAZ-21127), as well as a 1.8-liter unit developed by Super-Avto. While a five-speed manual transmission was standard, an automated manual transmission (AMT) joined the lineup in later years. The vehicle received a substantial facelift in late 2013 featuring revised bumpers, integrated daytime running lights, and an updated dashboard with a touchscreen system. It was sold in Russia, CIS countries, parts of Europe, and the Middle East.
