Vauxhall Viva IV gallery (2015–2019)
The revived twenty-first-century Viva was a five-door city hatchback built on the global General Motors subcompact platform.
In 2015, Vauxhall revived the heritage nameplate for an all-new A-segment five-door city hatchback to replace the aging Agila, serving as the United Kingdom sibling to the continental Opel Karl. Constructed upon General Motors' global small front-wheel-drive architecture and built at the Changwon assembly plant in South Korea, the modern Viva offered practical interior packaging within a footprint under 3.7 metres long. It was powered exclusively by an efficient 1.0-litre three-cylinder naturally aspirated Ecotec petrol engine generating 75 hp and 95 Nm of torque, paired to either a five-speed manual gearbox or an optional Easytronic automated manual. In 2017, the pseudo-crossover Viva Rocks variant was introduced, sporting raised ground clearance, rugged anthracite wheel arch cladding, and integrated roof rails. The model offered generous city-car equipment, including City-mode light electric steering, lane departure warning, and the IntelliLink touchscreen system. Production came to an end in 2019 following Vauxhall's acquisition by the PSA Group.
