The first generation of the Ural Neo 500 debuted in 2026, marking a significant milestone for the brand through production partnership with China's Yingang. The motorcycle utilizes a completely new sidecar-specific platform engineered for approachable handling and everyday rideability. Thanks to its lightweight architecture, the machine boasts a dry weight of 334 kg, drastically improving maneuverability compared to legacy Ural platforms.
Under the hood, the first-generation model is equipped with a modern 446 cc liquid-cooled Zonsen parallel-twin engine that generates 35 horsepower. The powertrain is paired with a manual gearbox, while fuel storage is handled by a 17-liter tank providing extensive range with an estimated consumption rate of 6 to 7 liters per 100 km.
The bike features an all-new design language devoid of utilitarian retro motifs, incorporating full-LED exterior illumination, a high-resolution color TFT dash cluster, and an integrated onboard dash camera. Positioned significantly below the flagship Gear Up in terms of price, the first-generation Neo 500 targets key international export destinations including North America and Japan.
