Major 2026 update featuring a new 2.0-liter JAC turbodiesel, a 6-speed manual gearbox, full-LED lighting, and an overhauled cabin.
The 2026 UAZ Patriot update, unofficially referred to as Patriot 2.0, marks the most comprehensive technical and interior overhaul of the body-on-frame SUV in a decade. While retaining the original ladder frame, solid axles, and steel body stamping, the updated model introduces modern exterior lighting with full-LED headlights and taillights with dynamic turn indicators, alongside a redesigned dashboard architecture and central tunnel.
The most significant powertrain addition is a new 2.0-liter four-cylinder JAC turbodiesel engine producing 136 hp and 320 Nm of torque, assembled in Yelabuga. The familiar 2.7-liter ZMZ petrol engine with 150 hp remains standard. Both power units are coupled with a newly localized 6-speed manual gearbox produced by ZMZ. Additionally, the manual transfer case lever has been replaced by an electromechanical rotary drive mode selector switch.
Interior and comfort enhancements include a redesigned multifunction steering wheel from KSB with integrated front airbags, single-zone automatic climate control, multi-level heated front seats, steering wheel heating, USB-A and USB-C ports for all passengers, a flip key fob, and an updated infotainment system equipped with a 9-inch touchscreen display.
