The updated UAZ-3163, marketed under the designation Patriot X, represents an extensive facelift of the long-running body-on-frame off-roader. While retaining the core ladder-frame architecture and five-door SUV body structure, the vehicle introduces refreshed exterior styling highlighted by all-LED front and rear lighting along with a redesigned front radiator grille.
The most substantial technical evolution is the powertrain: a 2.0-liter turbo-diesel engine generating 136 hp, paired with a new six-speed manual gearbox. Inside, the passenger compartment receives noticeable ergonomic upgrades, including a redesigned multifunction steering wheel, an electronic rotary dial controller for the transfer case, and modern USB-C charging ports.
