The vehicle retains the robust ladder-frame chassis, part-time four-wheel drive system with a low-range transfer case, and dependable rear suspension setup. It was equipped with 2.0-liter diesel and 2.3-liter gasoline engines producing between 149 and 155 horsepower, paired with manual or automatic transmissions tailored for rugged environments. The model was primarily targeted at Central Asian markets and offered practical off-road capabilities until assembly concluded in 2017 due to shifting corporate strategies.
