First generation of the Morgan SuperSport roadster, featuring the CXV aluminum platform and BMW turbocharged powerplants.

The first generation Morgan SuperSport was introduced as the British brand's premier performance model, taking over from the outgoing Plus Six. Built around the proprietary bonded aluminum CXV-Generation architecture, the chassis and subframes weigh just around 102 kg (225 lbs), keeping overall vehicle weight exceptionally low at approximately 1,134 kg (2,500 lbs).

The vehicle is offered in an open-top roadster body style, providing customers with a choice between a traditional folding fabric roof and a lightweight carbon-composite removable hardtop. Powertrain options rely on BMW turbocharged gasoline engines: a 3.0-liter inline-six B58 delivering 340 hp for European specification and a 2.0-liter four-cylinder B46 producing 255 hp for US market certification, both mated exclusively to an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission.

Compared to its predecessor, the generation introduces a 14% quicker steering ratio, revised suspension geometry, a 5% reduction in aerodynamic drag, and a 20% decrease in front-end lift. Notable additions include an integrated rear luggage compartment, optional 24-click adjustable Nitron dampers, and a lightweight carbon-fiber bonnet.
