About this generation

First generation of the compact Mercedes-Benz Little G off-roader featuring both gasoline and electric powertrains.

The first-generation Mercedes-Benz Little G introduces an all-new standalone compact SUV positioned below the full-size G-Class. Featuring a boxy five-door SUV body that borrows signature styling cues from its larger sibling, the model transitions away from the flagship's heavy body-on-frame architecture to suit a more compact footprint and a distinct buyer demographic.

Chassis development for the inaugural generation prioritizes suspension geometry, wheel sizing, and axle articulation to ensure authentic off-road performance over rough terrain. Unlike the Graz-built flagship, manufacturing for this generation is assigned to Mercedes-Benz's production facility in Hungary.

The model launches with a dual powertrain strategy catering to varied global markets. The lineup comprises an all-electric variant equipped with a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system alongside an internal combustion version powered by a turbocharged four-cylinder gasoline engine.
