New all-electric generation of the Mercedes-Benz GLC crossover (X540) built on the MB.EA platform, debuted in 2026.

The all-electric generation of the mid-size Mercedes-Benz GLC SUV (chassis code X540) debuted in 2026 as the direct successor to the EQC, fully integrating electric drive into the core GLC family. Built on the dedicated 800V MB.EA platform, it bridges the styling gap between internal combustion engine models and EVs, adopting a unified design language with traditional SUV proportions and optimized aerodynamics.

Featuring a dual-motor 4MATIC all-wheel-drive powertrain generating up to 489 hp, the electric GLC is equipped with a 94 kWh battery pack offering a WLTP range over 700 km. Its 800V architecture supports ultra-fast DC charging up to 330 kW, enabling a 10–80% charge in under 18 minutes.
