Maybach GLS I (X167) gallery (2026–present)

The first generation of the Mercedes-Maybach GLS ultra-luxury SUV, carrying the X167 chassis code, is built on the modular MHA (Modular High Architecture) platform. The model is offered exclusively as a full-size luxury SUV with a tailored four- or five-seat interior configuration. Under the hood, the GLS 680 features an updated 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine (M177 Evo) with dual balance shafts, generating 603 hp and 850 Nm of torque. It is paired with an integrated starter-generator (ISG 2.0) 48-volt mild-hybrid setup that provides an extra boost of 23 hp under acceleration.

The chassis incorporates an advanced E-Active Body Control electro-hydraulic suspension with a Curve tilting function and Airmatic air springs connected to Car-to-X hazard recognition. In-cabin electronics are powered by the MB.OS centralized computing architecture, supported by a suite of ten cameras, five radars, and twelve ultrasonic sensors for automated parking maneuvers. The dashboard is dominated by the MBUX Superscreen glass housing three 12.3-inch displays, while rear Executive Seats gain dedicated leg-rest massagers, fine Nappa leather trim, and an integrated refrigerator.
