Lotus Emira 420 I (Type 131) gallery (2021–present)

The Lotus Emira is a mid-engine two-seater sports coupe serving as the brand's final model powered purely by internal combustion engines.

The Lotus Emira (internal code Type 131) was unveiled in July 2021 as the definitive successor to the Elise, Exige, and Evora lineages. It is constructed on the lightweight bonded extruded aluminum Lotus Sports Car Architecture, offering immense torsional rigidity and balanced weight distribution. The powertrain lineup includes a Toyota-sourced 3.5-liter supercharged 2GR-FE V6 generating 400 hp, coupled with either a six-speed manual gearbox featuring an exposed gear linkage or a six-speed torque-converter automatic, and an AMG-sourced 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four (M139) producing 360 hp mated exclusively to an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT). The Emira retains traditional hydraulic power steering for superior road feel and uses forged aluminum double-wishbone suspension at both axles with Tour and Sport chassis setups. Marketed globally across Europe, North America, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific, it represents Lotus's transition toward full electrification.
