Lincoln MKZ II (CD533) gallery (2012–2020)

The second-generation Lincoln MKZ was unveiled in 2012 for the 2013 model year, launching a completely new design language under Lincoln's dedicated design studio. Built on Ford's CD4 architecture, the new MKZ featured a distinctive fastback silhouette, full-width LED taillights, push-button shifting, and an optional 15.2-square-foot retractable panoramic glass roof. Standard equipment included continuously controlled damping (Lincoln Drive Control). Powertrain options initially comprised a 2.0-liter EcoBoost turbo four-cylinder (240 hp), a 3.7-liter Ti-VCT V6 (300 hp) linked to a six-speed automatic, and an efficient MKZ Hybrid featuring a 2.0-liter Atkinson-cycle engine paired with an e-CVT delivering 188 combined horsepower. For the 2017 model year, the MKZ underwent a substantial facelift, ditching the split-wing grille for the elegant Continental-style rectangular chrome grille, restoring tactile knobs and buttons on the center stack, and introducing an exclusive 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 generating up to 400 hp with all-wheel drive. The second-generation MKZ was sold in North America, China, and the Middle East until production ended in July 2020.
