Lincoln MKT I (D472) gallery (2009–2019)

The Lincoln MKT (internal development code D472) was produced from 2009 through 2019 at the Oakville Assembly plant in Ontario, Canada. Designed as a full-size luxury crossover with standard three-row seating for six or seven passengers, the vehicle utilized the unibody Ford D4 platform shared with the Ford Flex and fifth-generation Explorer. Under the hood, buyers could choose between a naturally aspirated 3.7-liter Duratec V6 generating 268 to 303 horsepower and a high-output 3.5-liter twin-turbo EcoBoost V6 rated at 355 to 365 horsepower. Power was routed through a six-speed automatic transmission to either the front wheels or an intelligent all-wheel-drive system (standard on EcoBoost trims). A comprehensive mid-cycle update was rolled out for the 2013 model year, incorporating a revised waterfall grille with thinner vertical slats, updated infotainment with MyLincoln Touch, adaptive suspension with Continuously Controlled Damping (CCD), and upgraded braking systems. Lincoln also produced specialized MKT Town Car livery and hearse configurations to capture the commercial fleet market. The MKT was marketed throughout North America, the Middle East, and China before concluding production in 2019 when it was succeeded by the rear-wheel-drive Aviator.
