The subcompact Lexus UX (ZA10) luxury crossover launched for 2019 on the GA-C platform, offering gas, hybrid, and UX 300e EV variants.
The first-generation Lexus UX subcompact luxury crossover (chassis code ZA10) premiered at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2018 for the 2019 model year. Built on the TNGA GA-C platform, it achieved the lowest center of gravity in its class and an exceptionally tight 17.1-foot turning radius. Exterior highlights feature a mesh spindle grille and aero-stabilizing rear light bar composed of 120 LEDs. The interior introduced trim textures inspired by traditional Japanese Washi paper graining.
Engine offerings comprised the gas UX 200 (2.0-liter producing 169 hp) mated to a Direct Shift-CVT with a mechanical launch gear, the UX 250h / UX 300h hybrid (up to 196 hp with available E-Four AWD), and the fully electric UX 300e outputting 201 hp with a 72.8 kWh battery providing up to 280 miles of range. A 2022 update replaced the Remote Touch pad with an updated 12.3-inch touchscreen and upgraded Lexus Safety System+ 2.5.
